40 Students. 4 Communities. 5 Days. 1 Mission.
40 students will be using their spring break to travel and serve in several communities on their way to Washington, DC. The Tour will consist of students in both Dearborn and Detroit schools, and will visit three cities on their route to Washington, DC. The Tour will travel to and serve in four communities on the Tour, and students will experience one or two college visits as well.

STLF Partnering with High Schools to Make Tours Possible.
The Tour is being made possible through a collaboration between STLF and numerous high schools around the Dearborn and Detroit area. Each Tour is carried out in partnership with a high school, and a representative of the school district is present on all Tours. The trip is also open to students from any school. All are welcome.

Tours to consist of students from Several Schools!
Students from several high schools in both Dearborn and Detroit and surrounding areas will be on each Tour. There will be pick-up locations for students in both Dearborn and Detroit. Students from any school can sign up for the Tour.

Tour Dates and Registration - Register Early to Ensure Your Spot.
This Tour will take place from April 15-19, 2009. The route will be open to students from any school. The students will travel to Washington, DC and four cities along the way to serve and learn about communities. The bus is limited to 35 students, and registration is first come, first served. Sign up early to be a part of this exciting opportunity to serve and lead.

Cost & Financial Aid- Sign up Early to Secure Early Registration Rate.
The registration fee for the Tour can vary depending upon how soon you sign up for the Tour - the earlier the better! There are three different rates: Early-Bird Rate, Normal Rate, and Late Registration Rate. The three are listed below:

  • Early Registration Rate (before March 18): $265
  • Normal Rate: $280
  • Late Registration Rate (after April 8): $300

Limited Need-based Financial Aid Available upon Request:
There is a limited amount of need-based financial aid available. If you are in a situation in which you cannot afford the full cost of the Tour, please contact us at info@stlf.net for a financial aid application to apply for a partial cost reduction.

Also, please consider efforts to raise funds from family, friends, or others in your community to help support your Pay It Forward Tour experience. Any amount you can raise will allow STLF to provide financial assistance to more students in need.
