Second Annual Pay It Forward Tour from Portland Area.
The second annual Pay It Forward Tour from the Portland, OR, area will be taking place this spring from March 20-24, 2009. Last January, STLF worked with high school students from the Portland Area to start a growing tradition of the program for years to come. This coming year, students from several Portland Area High Schools will be continuing this tradition over their spring break on a Pay It Forward Tour. The students will travel to and serve in four cities over the course of five days, visit one or two college campuses, and learning about unique social issues facing our communities and country. They will make San Francisco, CA, their final destination, before returning home.
STLF Partnering with Oregon Asssociation of Student Councils to Make Tour Possible.
The Tour is being made possible through collaboration between STLF and numerous high schools made possible with a partnership with STLF and the Oregon Association of Student Councils. A representative from OASC and a partnering high school will be present on the Tour as well.

Tour Dates and Registration - Register Early to Ensure Your Spot.
These Tours will take place from March 20-24, 2009. There is currently one bus available that is open to students from any school. A second bus would be dependent on the level of interest in the program. Each bus is limited to 35 students, and registration is first come, first served. Sign up early to be a part of this exciting opportunity to serve and lead.

Cost & Financial Aid- Sign up Early to Secure Early Registration Rate.
The registration fee for the Tour can vary depending upon how soon you sign up for the Tour - the earlier the better! There are three different rates: Early-Bird Rate, Normal Rate, and Late Registration Rate. The three are listed below:
- Normal Rate: $280
- Late Registration Rate (after March 2): $300
Limited Need-based Financial Aid Available upon Request:
There is a limited amount of need-based financial aid available. If you are in a situation in which you cannot afford the full cost of the Tour, please contact us at info@stlf.net for a financial aid application to apply for a partial cost reduction.
Also, please consider efforts to raise funds from family, friends, or others in your community to help support your Pay It Forward Tour experience. Any amount you can raise will allow STLF to provide financial assistance to more students in need. Please download the sample donation letter below, and customize accordingly to assist you in raising funds. Thanks for your efforts!
